Responsibilities

  • With a deep understanding of nuclear power plant engineering and operations, works closely with Westinghouse's clients, which are nuclear power plant operators, to customize unique technical solutions required to maintain safe, efficient and reliable power plant operations.
  • Writes reports and proposals to clients detailing the technical problems with a description of the proposed engineered solutions, methods and approach to their issues.
  • Collaborates with staff to identify and develop new and innovative engineered solutions to our clients’ most technical problems including sharing best engineering practices consistent with the objectives of nuclear safety and plant reliability.
  • Responsible for building a product focused sales organization and leading change to reinforce business acumen, personal initiative, and process discipline;
  • Responsible for interfacing with customers through negotiation of technical sales activities and closing deals to ensure orders are received to meet business financial objectives for each business segment;
  • Maintain technical knowledge about Westinghouse's engineered products and services in order to effectively interface with customers and complete the sales cycle to close the transaction;
  • Maintain knowledge of competitor's products and services to provide market intelligence and trends as well as to provide input in articulating Westinghouse's value proposition;
  • Responsible for the overall sales cycle process from assisting clients with identifying their needs and concerns, to proposing engineered solutions, and negotiating terms for services;
  • Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, reduce cycle time and improve data integrity of systems and tools utilized;
  • Accountable for engaging the Account and Product teams to do product push initiatives which achieve sales, to respond to customer questions and issues and to understand and address unmet customer needs;
  • Instill a high standard of performance throughout the organization;
  • Provide in-year forecast of sales performance against objectives, collaborate with peers and other business leaders to develop actionable plans to achieve business plan results; and
  • Position can be performed from anywhere in the U.S. 50% domestic travel to client sites required.
  • 10% travel to Westinghouse offices (including international offices) required.
