Responsibilities

  • Execute test plans and test cases to evaluate video playback, streaming quality, audio synchronisation, resolution, and overall performance.
  • Accurately document and report bugs, glitches, and inconsistencies using bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
  • Testing video content across a wide range of devices (smart TVs, mobile devices, desktops, gaming consoles) and operating systems (iOS, Android, Windows, macOS).
  • Verify bug fixes and ensure that issues are resolved effectively.
  • Monitor video streaming performance, including buffering, latency, and load times.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure new features and bug fixes do not introduce new issues.
  • Work closely with engineers, product managers, and other team members to ensure timely resolution of issues and a high-quality product.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of test plans and test cases.
  • Awareness of the latest video technologies, codecs, and streaming protocols and DRM systems.
