Requirements

  • Strong academic record/Relevant experience
  • Previous customs clearance experience is a requirement
  • Experience with Customs software's such as Thyme IT, HMRC Customs Declarations Service (CDS) & Northern Ireland TSS systems is an advantage
  • Experience with DAFM requirements is an advantage
  • Experience in logistic/transport industry is an advantage
  • Microsoft Office Skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Good communications skills – both verbal and written
  • Conscientious about deadlines with excellent organisational ability
  • Ability to understand the longer term strategies and shorter term goals of the team

Responsibilities

  • Broad and variable within the International Trade Compliance area.
  • Manage and create export and import declarations
  • Ensure all paperwork is received and completed accurately
  • Escalating problems to your line manager where data missing or incorrect
  • Process customs documents for import/export
  • Supporting your line manager with daily admin tasks
  • Record and file all relevant information, documents and emails
  • Assist with monthly reports and retrieval of information
  • General customs administration
  • Interact with clients to support with Customs Queries
