What responsibilities will I have as an NGINX Engineer?
You will evaluate system developments, ensure the availability of services and applications, monitor infrastructure, participate in post-mortems, transform legacy components, be on call periodically, and automate manual processes.
What qualifications are required for this position?
You should have experience with web publishing systems and proxying (Nginx), solid knowledge of Linux, automation skills using scripts (mainly Python/Go), and experience with deployment/configuration tooling, version control tools, and pipelines.
Are there desirable skills that would enhance my application?
Yes, desirable skills include knowledge of Akamai security services, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, Azure DevOps services, Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, and familiarity with cloud provider services (preferably Azure).
