Requirements

Completion of a professional degree in Electrical Engineering
LEED accreditation strongly preferred
Knowledge of NEC and IBC standards
Knowledge of key performance parameters for lighting and controls
Knowledge of key architectural considerations for electrical equipment such as electrical room sizing, clearances, ceiling, and interstitial space constraints
Knowledge of key electrical considerations such as voltage and phase, transformers,
motors
Knowledge of discipline-specific Electrical calculation software tools
Exhibits initiative, process innovation, problem solving, and decision quality with a high attention to precision and accuracy at a task specific level
Actively collaborates at a project team level by critically and constructively evaluating ideas
Effectively communicates internally through timely and appropriate written, oral and visual means.
General understanding of sustainable strategies and principles that can be applied to high performance projects.
Familiarity with LEED, WELL and other green building rating systems required.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit and Google Suite

Responsibilities

Prepare electrical load calculations and coordination using approved software
Complete electrical schedules, size electrical equipment, complete circuiting under supervision
Prepare lighting and power drawings, including relevant detail sheets and schedules under supervision
Assists with field surveys of electrical equipment and systems
Responsible for Project CAD and Revit Coordination
Maintains project documentation, including calculations, project filing, etc.
Interfaces with vendors under supervision
Manages time and workload to meet project task deadlines and commitments with regular interaction and direction from project leaders.
