Afghan Society at the University of West London aims to create a community for Afghans and non-Afghans to discuss current affairs and share upcoming events. As well as aiming to promote the culture, traditions and values of Afghanistan, raise awareness of issues and campaigns within Afghanistan, and organise cultural and political events. Moreover, Afghan Society aims to discuss issues regarding Afghanistan with utmost respect and give a chance for all students to share their ideas and opinions. The Afghan Society welcomes and is open to all Afghan and Non-Afghan students. COMMITTEE POSITIONS AVAILABLEBelow are the positions available when putting yourself forward for a committee position. Some groups may have additional roles to others, so make sure you check them out!CHAIRPERSON - click hereThis role is new and includes elements of the President and Vice-Presidents roles. It’s been designed to incorporate some of the administration and face-to-face elements that go into running a society. This person will act as the face of the society and will lead by example!GROUP ADMINISTRATOR - click hereThis role is a new role created to reduce the demand on the President and add value to the treasurer role, therefore, it includes elements of the Treasurer roles.
