For over 15 years, the LSE SU Alternative Investments Conference has connected students from all over the world with leading industry professionals in alternative investments. The conference boasts 320 student delegates selected from an average application pool of 4,000 coming from more than 70 countries. In recent years we have hosted the following speakers: Howard Marks (Oaktree Capital) David Rubenstein (Carlyle Group) Paul Singer (Elliott Management) Anthony Scaramucci (Skybridge Capital) Jim Breyer (Accel) Bill Ackman (Pershing Square Capital) Michael Hintze (CQS) Marc Rowan (Apollo Global Management) Chris Sacca (Lowercase Capital)Current confirmed speakers include: Stephen Schwarzman (Blackstone) Alan Howard (Brevan Howard) Paul Marshall (Marshall Wace) Rajeev Misra (SoftBank Vision Fund)In 2021, we will be hosting a virtual series of interviews and seminars dubbed 'AIC Conversations' instead of our usual physical conference in view of COVID-19 restrictions. We are looking for interested first-years to join us as Marketing, Logistics and External Affairs officers. Joining our team is one of the best ways to learn more about these areas of finance (Private Equity, Venture Capital and Hedge Funds). You will help to put together one of the largest student-run events of its kind while being exposed to industry-leading professionals and pioneers in finance and alternative investments. You will also then have a chance to be part of next year's Executive Team, who will host the physical (circumstances permitting) conference in Feb 2022, interfacing with our speakers and corporate sponsors while managing a team of 30 across Marketing, Operations, Logistics and IT/Design. To learn more, join us via the Facebook Messenger and Whatsapp Group links below, as well as at our information session here.
Membership There is no need to purchase membership to access AIC Conversations content - more details on our virtual channel will be provided soon.
