UCL ABC provides training sessions for all - the best way to get in shape, to discipline yourself and to learn how to fight. UCL ABC offers boxing lessons from the basics right up to advanced levels - whether you are looking to increase your sporting ability, to get fit, to get ripped or just to learn how to box, these sessions will cater for all.Moreover, our competitive squad has been growing, with two members taking part in BUCS 2019, and one member becoming Birmingham Box Cup 2019 lightweight champion. There is an opportunity for everyone to join the team, to acquire new skills, and eventually to take part in competitions.Due the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, our activity will be significantly limited, at least until January 2021. Therefore, if you are a returning member, then expect an unusual format.We are planning to run several types of sessions (in person) during the first term:Monday, 18:55-19:50, Bloomsbury Fitness, Mandela Studio.Thursday, 19:00-20:00, Regent's Park Running Track.Friday, 17:00-18:00, Box Clever sports.Friday, 18:00-19:00, Box Clever sports, squad only.Sunday 11:00-12:00, 12:00-13:00, Islington Boxing Club/Box Clever sports, squad only.All session will be following strict COVID-19 control measures.This year we offer two membership types:Free remote membership. This provides you with a weekly workout plans, and you will have access to our Strava group, through which you will be able to share your performance with other members and receive feedback. During the first two weeks of the term, we will be running taster sessions, and having a free membership will allow you to book your place for free. £40 full membership. You need this membership if you wish to take part in all in person activities, once the taster period is over, and competitive events. You can upgrade from free remote membership to full membership at any point throughout the year.Once you have your full membership, in order to attend a training session, you will have to make a booking via the Students' Union (UCL) website prior to the session. All sessions can be found on the What's On calendar. Without a ticket you will not be able to train, and because of limited capacity make sure to book in advance. Apart from Thursdays, for each session you attend there will be a £2 session fee. This is because of the limited capacity of the sessions, and the need to cover our coaching expanses, since our sessions are run by a licensed boxing coach. At the same time, you will receive a lot of attention from our coach, allowing you to progress even faster!Membership can be obtained through the Students' Union website.
