Welcome all to the King's College London Bangladesh Society. The home of fish, floods and wonderful people!KCL Bangladesh Society is a community-oriented society. We focus on four main types of events:1) Cultural - Celebrating our culture, discussing taboos, like mental heatlh and domestic abuse and exploring the struggles which led to Bangladeshi independence.2) Social - A great way to meet like minded people and make new friends, through our chilled carom nights, Meet and Greet and games nights.3) Academic and Outreach - Events aimed towards widening participation from people from Bangladeshi backgrounds and areas to ease the application process to university.4) Charity and Community - Volunteer for the local community, and spend time with the elderly Bangladeshi community at Sonali Gardens, a day centre for elderly located in East London. And get involved with our many charity events, from MaaMonth to Islamic Relief's Charity Week to our Sponsored Skydive for Islamic Help to end the year!KCL Bangladesh Society won Society of the year 2008 - 2009, and we received a mention at the KCLSU awards ceremony.
