navigation.about
Congratulations on reaching UCL and choosing the right societies to join will be a key component of your university experience!Perhaps you've only ever seen baseball online? Maybe the extent of your bat and ball skills were seen during Year 9 cricket... doesn't matter - we welcome all abilities from those schooled in the game abroad to first-time rookies. No equipment required, just an interest in playing America's national pastime and reclaiming our Varsity honours! As our name suggests we offer the opportunity to play baseball! Here at UCL, there are always players with baseball backgrounds and we are very keen to both play the game competitively to as high a standard as we can, and to introduce the game to first time players. Furthermore, our society offers the ability to meet a diverse range of interesting people at training sessions and socials. Established in 2010, the UCL Baseball Club participates in tournaments and friendly games throughout the year and holds training sessions on Wednesdays and Saturdays, along with regular socials, trips to the batting cages and other meetings. Notable events usually include the Autumn and Spring Baseball Cups and the National University Softball Championships. Of course, there are a few question marks over this year however, as a committee we are very keen to facilitate as many training sessions, events and games as possible. All are welcome and we hope to see you at our first training session or alternatively, you can get in touch directly by following the link to our Facebook page! All attendees to in-person and online sessions will have to have bought remote membership so don't miss out, get your's today! This Club is Pride in Sport Accredited
