Welcome to City, University of London Students' Union Bhangra Society!Bhangra today is one of the most ENTHUSIASTIC, ENERGETIC and EXPLOSIVE genres of dance around. Arising from the roots of Punjab as a celebration dance of the Harvest, it has worked its way across the borders creating an immense cultural explosion here in the UK.Being one of the LOUDEST and most ENERGETIC societies at City, we aim to practice Bhangra through the formation of a strong core team to enhance the development and growth of BHANGRA culture within City, University of London!City Bhangra Society aims to continue to represent UK Bhangra culture through many more events and competitions to come!Having performed competitively at Capital Bhangra in 2015 and 2016, the Team have grown and evolved each year, always thriving to be bigger and better.Through hard work and dedication, we achieved 2nd place at Capital Bhangra 2016, and have now embarked on our next big steps at THE BHANGRA SHOWDOWN X.
