University College London (UCL)
navigation.about
We are one of the largest sports societies at UCL with active sport and social events running throughout the year. We are developing a growing Women's section and are one of the few UCL sports societies that integrate the Men’s and Women’s club so that we train side by side. We field a 1st XI and 2nd XI allowing opportunities to represent UCL for everyone. All abilities are welcome, including beginners, so if you've never played, haven't played for a while or you are a seasoned pro, make sure you come along and give us a try! What’s onIf training at the Home of Cricket is not enough to convince you to join UCL Cricket, we also invite our members to take part in the following:A healthy social calendar with weekly socials held on a Wednesday evening including regular squad meals, nights out, our biannual Pub Golf Championships and other cricket-related entertainment.Women’s cricket sessions for beginners and those returning to the sport (Sundays in Regent's Park)BUCS/LUSL Outdoor Fixtures (Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the Summer Term)UCL vs King’s (Strand Poly) VarsityAlumni Charity T20Tour 2021 - TBDSummer Outdoor Nets at Highgate (Monday Afternoons) and Regent's Park (Thursday Evenings)Extensive Volunteering and Charity ProgrammesGetting InvolvedMEET US: We will have an online stall at this year's Digital Welcome Fair. Check out our page and talk to us there on the 30th September or 3rd October, where you will be able to find out more about our society and everything we offer. Members of our committee will be around to chat online and answer any questions you may have about cricket at UCL.MembershipThe full, £40 membership enables you to represent UCL in competitive fixtures and net frequently at Lord’s Cricket Ground, where we welcome all standards. We are also offering a £20 first term membership this year which entitles you to come to nets and socials in the first term. Due to lack of fixtures in other sports this is a great way to spend your free Wednesday afternoons and make a weekly pilgrimage to the hallowed turf of Lord's! For all first term members wanting to take part in our exciting Summer fixture calendar an additional £20 upgrade is required. In these strange times, cricket is going to be the only sport to run a full BUCS/LUSL fixture list. So, if you haven't joined us at all during the year but still fancy an opportunity to don the purple and get involved, our new £30 Summer membership allows you to take part in all UCLCC activity as we look to fit a year's worth of sport into just a few months!Furthermore, in these strange times we recognise that not everyone will be able to join us in person this year so we are providing a FREE online membership to allow anyone, no matter where in the world you are, to join our community. Alongside being able to follow UCL Cricket from afar, you will be able to join us online in cricket-related pub quizzes becoming part of the club wherever you may be. Information about this and all of the above can be found on our Facebook Page or Instagram. Any questions pleased get in touch. We hope to see you all turn out to represent UCL and wish you all a successful year! This Club is Pride in Sport Accredited
