QUEEN MARYCRIMINAL JUSTICE SOCIETY Justice or injustice ... that is probably the question. The Queen Mary Criminal Justice Society is a new student-led organisation at the Queen Mary University of London aiming to widen students' contact with the field of Criminal Justice.
As a society, we are committed to creating a space where students can learn and explore their interests. For that, we place particular emphasis on fomenting an atmosphere, in which individuals can engage with different points of view, discuss and develop their knowledge of the area.Through the organisation of events, promotion of opportunities and meaningful thought-exchange, we hope to bridge the gap between students and an area of law which is both far-reaching and fascinating, although often seemingly, difficult to approach. As members of the Queen Mary Criminal Justice Society, students will gain a better understanding of the opportunities available (such as panel discussions and workshops, visits to courts and prisons), have the chance to meet people who are currently working in Criminal Justice, and gain resources which will prove essential for anyone aspiring to enter the field.Regardless of your course of study or career aspirations, the public importance of the issues we will be addressing throughout the year apply to everyone and we'd love to have you join us.
