Flamank Law Society

As a society we aim to provide informative career opportunities alongside activities and events targeted at developing a variety of skills essential to any and all legal professions. In partnership with the Law School and an ever-growing network, including ULaw, we regularly host lectures and discussions related to areas of interest within the legal sector as well as workshops and talks. We also offer the opportunity to partake in our mooting and debating competitions, both of which are essential tools in developing public speaking skills and the ability to identify relevant information and form a coherent argument. These skills are invaluable to law firms and chambers and as such participation benefits any CV. Owing to the coronavirus pandemic our ability to offer social events over the past year has been hampered by lockdowns and general social distancing rules. Therefore, with the new freedom to congregate and have fun again it is our aim to offer regular social events that take the stress off of university life and bring together a group of sociable likeminded individuals. These will be run on a bi-weekly basis with major events also being run close to Christmas and in the new year.
