navigation.about
We are comprised of 4 inter-university league teams (3 competing within BUCS leagues and 3 in LUSL leagues) and a Queen Mary intra-university league. Both provide a platform for competitive matches for those interested and committed to 11-a-side football. We undertake volunteering within the local community. We’ve organised a successful football festival, which is repeated every year. We’re also in the process of kick starting a mentoring programme.Every year we continuously strive to improve the standard of football we play in order to achieve the best results possible. We also seek to have a good social atmosphere which allows all members to enjoy their football and be part of a unique club.Taster Session/Trials All students who wish to join QMFC must attend trials. These will be held throughout late September/October with additional opportunities to trial for people who have been effected by COVID-19. Follow the instagram page @qmufc for updates. They will be trialled on technical footballing drills along with match-play situations. Those who perform well will be invited to a second trial. From there players will be placed into inter-university squads. If not selected, or for players who wish to just play intra-university matches, they can join one of the 11-a-side intramural teams that will play on Wednesday afternoons at Mile End 3G pitch There may also be re-freshers trials at the beginning of Semester 2.TrainingMonday's 7.30pm-9pmEquipment: Participants need astro turfs for training and football boots for competitive matches.
