navigation.about
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF, Doctors Without Borders) is an international humanitarian aid organisation. MSF’s core values are independent, neutral and impartial; aid workers go wherever they are needed the most.
It takes an extreme amount of organisation to mobilise, transport and create an appropriate response to whatever disaster needs assistance - MSF works in remote locations around the globe as well as rapid relief efforts in countries such as Yemen and Rohingya.
In addition to emergency work, MSF builds long-term connections with governments to provide education and deliver prevention campaigns. Notably, MSF’s work is dependent on the likes of logisticians, project coordinators, and water & sanitation specialists on top of healthcare professionals.
At Imperial Friends of MSF, we are wholeheartedly committed to increasing the awareness of MSF so that they can continue their compassionate work. We like to encourage discussion and action through regular meetings, social and cultural events. We further aim to foster a frugal innovation eco-system – this is showcased via Makeathon, our flagship competition. Other events we have held include the London FoMSF fun run, week-long campaigns, conferences, bake sales and more!
