We are a society dedicated to providing an exciting space to learn about the past, from quiz nights to artefact handling and of course our famous Toga party we have an event for everyone. Welcome to the Roehampton Historical and Classical Society!We are a society dedicated to providing an exciting space to learn about the past, from quiz nights to artefact handling and of course our famous Toga party we have an event for everyone.This year things may look a little different but rest assured we are working hard to make sure our events can still take place in one form or another.In past years we have hosted guest speakers and run trips to British museum where we take you behind the scenes to view objects not normally on display. We also host a regular symposium were we discuss any breakthrough discoveries and debate their merit. Our Quiz and movie nights are also widely popular. We work closely with the local community, previously hosting a donation drive for the Wandsworth food-bank. Being an academic society we also regularly collaborate with the staff and lectures of the History and Classics departments, be that for events or by offering support links for students in need.
