Bhangra is a North Indian folk dance originating from the region of Punjab. KCL Bhangra strives to teach its students this energetic dance form through our weekly classes.
These are run for all levels of experience and are free for members!
After winning KCLSU's Best New Activity Group in 2015, KCL Bhangra frequently perform at events for the university such as the KCL Charity Diwali Show, and often participate in the KCLSU Widening Participation initiative. Our competitive dance team has had major success at one of the world's biggest Bhangra competitions - 'The Bhangra Showdown'. We earned second place in 2017 and 2018, third place in 2020, and were champions in 2019! This academic year we are looking to achieve bigger and better things.
