King's College London (KCL)
navigation.about
King's Shakespeare Company is here to fulfill all your bard-ly needs, from plotting revenge on your uncle for murdering your father, to faking your own death after being accused of adultery at your wedding. If you enjoy sword fights, pub quizzes, dressing up like Elizabethan royalty, and even the occasional bit of acting, then we're the society for you.We run two major productions per term, with opportunities for actors, directors, backstage crew and designers to get involved. This year, we're swapping the stage for radio plays in semester one, due to COVID-19 restrictions. We have an annual ball, where you can dress up fancy and recite sonnets to your crush on the balcony (we've definitely never done that...) as well as plenty of other social events throughout the term, from trips to the Shakespeare's Head to Halloween masquerades to midnight matinees at the Globe. If you have a love for (or even a vague interest in) Shakespeare and his contemporaries, then get involved!
