Greenwich LGBTQ+ Society

President: Ryan Bryce // Media Management & Treasurer: Frankie McNamee // Diversity Secretary: Shay Patten-WalkerOur main aims are to support and develop the LGBTQ+ community at Greenwich and to provide a safer, more welcoming, and ultimately, happier, space for LGBTQ+ people.  The society is run much like a network - the word 'society' is a bit clique-y, and there can never be enough emphasis on how welcoming a LGBTQ+ society should be.Our events include our fortnightly Espresso Yourself - a casual meetup, usually in a bar or coffee shop - our Annual Soho Bar Odyssey (or ASBO for short), and SHAG Week (Sexual Health Awareness and Guidance), which is a collaboration between ourselves and the Feminism Society. SHAG Week 2018 won Event of the Year for 2018-19. We'll also run collaborations through the year, especially within February, which is LGBTQ+ History Month. It's not mandatory to pay the membership fee to turn up at events! But, if you're in a position where you're able to throw us a few quid, we'd really appreciate that - it means we can put on better and bigger events for you.For business enquiries please email us.
