NADA was founded to create conversations around understanding abuse, and learning to help people affected by it. Last year we ran a talk on intersectionality, held a Life Drawing Soiree, an "Artists Against Abuse" night and Self-Defence classes among others! This year we plan to go bigger: Panel Discussions with prominent figures in the world of Human Rights Activism, Training and Workshops on Inclusive Social Policies, Art and Music Therapy Events, a movie screening in a park. We will meet fortnightly to discuss books and movies we've consumed and have conversations on social inclusion, women's issues and the lived experiences of Black and Ethnic Minority communities. This year we will be engaging with our members online, showcasing art work, research and taking all your ideas and giving them a platform online and in person! All revenues from donations or fundraisers go to partnering charities directly working against domestic abuse or for women's empowerment in the UK (unless otherwise stated).Membership to all of the above is completely free.
