Nottingham Women in Law

The Women in Law Society aims to raise awareness, not only of the difficulties women can face throughout the legal world, but also of the increasing number of opportunities that are now available to women in this field. We intend to develop a supportive network that is specific to women in the subject of Law, all with the goal of uniting our members, both women and men, to promote both equality and diversity throughout the legal world. Not only do we strive to pave the way for future female lawyers in regard to the support they receive and future roles available to them, but we also aim to raise awareness as to the challenges faced by women in law in the modern day. We promote the notion that everybody deserves equal opportunities especially in an area as fundamental as law. Additionally, we truly believe that the Women in Law society will allow steps to be taken towards granting this where it does not already exist.
