Southslav Society

Welcome to the newly founded Southslav Society! We aim to provide a better understanding of the cultures and lifestyle of the former Yugoslavia through a range of social and educational activities. From tastings of the delicious local foods (Burek, Rakija, Cevapi, Sarma…), to movie and karaoke nights we promise a fun and entertaining time. In addition, we have also planned joined events with societies from other London universities (UCL, KCL...), so you can meet like-minded people studying in London! Whether you are a nostalgic Ex-Yugoslav looking for a place to feel at home, or you simply want to experience the culture, food, music and learn more about the languages and rich history of the states of former Yugoslavia, this is the society for you! We make sure all events are accessible for students from all backgrounds, so everyone is more than welcome to join!
