Bonding over "it's complicated" when asked where you are from
University Of Bristol
navigation.about
Does this sound familiar?
Stranger: "Where are you from?"
You: "It's complicated."
A Third Culture Kid is defined as 'one who has grown up in multiple countries/cultures other than that of their parents'/passport country'.
It is always exciting to meet people you can relate to and often being a TCK means having had similar experiences which may include being in international schools, adapting to different cultures, travelling and moving a lot and often being extremely culturally confused.
This is a social society created to meet, connect and share experiences with others, where a confusing mix of cultures are celebrated. It is going to be open to anyone and everyone interested in spending time in an international environment! We welcome all British, European and International students who are and are not TCKs! You most definitely do not need to be a TCK to come join us :) We're here if you wanna hang out with people from a bunch of different places and we're here to be your home away from home, to be a family that you can always rely on when you miss home wherever that may be and especially to allow TCKs (and non-TCKs) at Bristol to meet each other.
We can't wait to meet everyone's beautiful faces!!
Our Socials include:
Our Famous International Potluck!
