Ukrainian Society

The University of Sheffield Ukrainian society was founded in 2022 after the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by russia. Many Ukrainians have been forced to leave their homes and seek refuge in the UK. One of our main aims is to create a safe space for Ukrainians that study at the University of Sheffield, as well as connect with other students from all over the world. Ukraine is a country that is rich in culture, history, and traditions, which we are excited to share with you! We are planning a variety of events that will allow members to learn more about Ukraine; these may include a pub quiz, film screening, cultural evenings and talks from guest speakers. We are also planning to raise funds to aid civilians that were affected by the war, as well as the people who are defending Ukraine’s freedom.
