Wind Band

Imperial College Wind Band is a friendly, talented group of woodwind, brass and percussion players who rehearse a wide range of modern as well as classical music weekly. No audition is required to join and we aim to provide a satisfying challenge to all our players, no matter the skill level.With termly concerts, supplemented with external events and an annual international summer tour, we aim to provide a fun experience whilst maintaining excellent musical standards. Activities in recent years have included annual rehearsal weekends to Oxford, tours to The Hague, Prague, Munich and Ljubljana and a massed wind band concert in 2017 with over 200 musicians. We have played in venues ranging from village halls to the famed bavarian beer hall Hofbrauhaus to a rugby stadium in front of over a thousand spectators.Rehearsals are on Tuesdays from 18:00 to 20:15 in the Great Hall, with a break for tea and cake mid-rehearsal, followed by a weekly trip to the one of the campus bars or a local pub.
