  Support all aspects of WiSTEM business operations such as gift processing, invoicing and bill paying, student staff hiring, processing travel reimbursements, room reservation management, supplies inventory and ordering, business contracts, and grant accounting.

  Work with university departments and external partners to advance WiSTEM business operations.
  Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining timely, ethical, and professional standards.

  Bachelor's degree and one year of experience at the Administrative Assistant level, or high school graduation or GED and five years of clerical experience, including one year of experience at the Administrative Assistant level.

We seek an enthusiastic and creative scientist/engineer passionate about developing anti-cancer therapeutics. The successful candidate will be able to devise strategies to engineer and evaluate antibodies and other protein therapies against a given target, present these strategies, incorporate feedback, and design experimental systems to carry out the agreed upon strategies. Training in specific techniques will be provided as needed. This individual will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as time management, organization and record keeping practices. They will also have the ability to work independently and creatively, with strong problem-solving skills that use quantitative strategies to plan experiments and analyze data. They will also be highly communicative and take initiative in communicating with others. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of programs, PyMol or equivalent, Benchling or equivalent, GraphPad or equivalent are required. The ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary environment is also required.

Specific experience with FPLC purification, measurement of protein-protein binding kinetics (ELISA, biolayer interferometry, surface plasmon resonance), protein engineering platforms (phage, yeast and/or mammalian libraries), flow cytometry, high throughput sequencing preparation and post-sequencing analysis, confocal microscopy, cellular assays for immune functions using cell lines and PBMCs, and animal models of cancer are all highly relevant skills that will be taken into account during hiring.
