Responsibilities

  • Manage the full employment lifecycle, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and offboarding processes, while ensuring compliance with university policies and employment regulations.
  • Consult with hiring managers to assess staffing needs, advise on employment requirements, and facilitate HR business processes for all personnel categories.
  • Oversee HR compliance and administrative processes, including background checks, visa petitions, I-9 verification, and employment authorizations in collaboration with Texas Global.
  • Serve as a key HR liaison, providing guidance to employees, students and managers on university policies, payroll, student employment, and compliance training.
  • Support HR operations by processing high-volume business transactions, preparing HR reports, maintaining organizational charts, and enhancing workflow efficiencies.
  • Address employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and workplace concerns, ensuring prompt resolution and appropriate referrals to campus resources.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes by recommending workflow enhancements, assisting with training initiatives, and participating in professional development activities.
