Requirements

  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university at the time of the internship
  • Must have sophomore, junior or senior class standing
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 2.8
  • Must be willing to relocate if in the future considered for a Trainee position
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Accounting, Finance, or related majors
  • Previous Internship, Co-op or work experience in a related field
  • Previous experience as a Sherwin-Williams Intern or Co-op
  • Previous internship or co-op experience in the Sherwin-Williams Global Supply Chain Division
  • Leadership experience as demonstrated by your involvement in extracurricular activities on campus or in the community
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Problem solving ability
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Project Management skills

Responsibilities

  • Assume daily production activity is processed timely and accurately.
  • Maintain purchase order and receiving of expenses and material through eAM.
  • Provide reporting information for management regarding purchases and open P.O.S.
  • Act as a resource for questions regarding purchase orders.
  • Ensure purchase orders in eAM are processed through AP, provide support in obtaining outstanding invoices and processing and ensuring accounts filing.
  • Prepare monthly use tax reports for State and analyze invoices for proper tax assessment.
  • Close batch tickets and ensure timely and accurate accounting of raw materials.
  • Reconcile finishing goods and movement of finished goods between the distribution center and direct shipments.
  • Review of batch tickets and investigate variances.
  • Assist in closing of financial data to general ledger on a monthly basis.
  • Assist in investigation of monthly account reconciliations.
