  • The mission of the Small Molecule Pharmaceutical Sciences Department is to develop a world-class CMC organization recognized for high-quality science, innovative approaches, and the ability to rapidly respond to changes in clinical development. To expeditiously develop and deliver phase-appropriate formulations, chemical synthesis, process characterizations, and controls to enable a robust dynamic, and diverse pipeline using innovation, high-quality science, technologies, and partnerships.

Program Highlights

  • Intensive 12-week, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship
  • Program start dates are in May/June (Summer)
  • A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship
  • Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.
  • Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.
  • Final presentations of project work to senior leaders.
  • Lead or participate in intern committees to design and coordinate program events and initiatives.
  • Professional & personal development curriculum throughout the program, including networking opportunities, workshops, and panel discussions.
  • Participate in volunteer projects, social events, and team-building activities.


  • You meet one of the following criteria:
  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student)
  • Must have attained a Bachelor's Degree
  • Must be pursuing a Master's Degree (enrolled student)
  • Must be pursuing a PhD (enrolled student)
  • Required majors:
  • Pharmaceutical Science, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Bioengineering or related discipline
  • Required skills:
  • At least one year of research experience and lab skills are required.
  • Nanoparticle characterization (DLS, HPLC)
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills

Area of Responsibilities



  • Work on designing nanoparticle-based formulations
  • Design a device system for instruments to modulate particle size
  • Responsible for developing formulations and characterizing physicochemical properties and performance using a range of in vitro tools, including but not limited to e.g. dynamic light scattering, polarized light microscopy, high-performance liquid chromatography
