Responsibilities

  • You will play an active role in our continued success by contributing to the delivery of key objectives, as well as having ownership of your own project-based initiatives.
  • As the Hilton Worldwide Sales intern, you will support the various specialist teams that support Hilton's most important corporate, meetings and events, leisure, entertainment, and airline clients based in this region.
  • You will be involved with a wide range of activities supporting our team including meetings, events, and leisure group enquiries from key clients for our hotels globally, providing management reports, maintaining and updating customer records, working on presentations, newsletters and social media.
  • You will provide administrative and system inputting (Salesforce) support in the management of group opportunities from the managed portfolio of accounts.
  • The purpose of the placement is to support with the management of group, and transient opportunities received from a portfolio of Hilton Worldwide Sales managed accounts, who are looking to work with Hilton Worldwide properties and destinations.
  • Working under the direction and guidance of the Hilton Worldwide Sales team, the primary focus of this role is to provide administrative and system inputting support to the Hilton Worldwide Sales team, which in turn will increase the productivity of existing relationships both at a customer and hotel level.
  • Activities will include:
  • Developing awareness of key regions, hotels, key agents and clients.
  • Prioritising workload to ensure deadlines are adhered to and exceeded.
  • Efficiently inputting group opportunities into Salesforce in line with best practices and timelines.
  • Follow all guidelines and best practices as set out by the line manager of Hilton Worldwide Sales and by Governance & Support for Salesforce.
  • Highlight any technical challenges as they arise.
  • Highlight and follow up on lack of response from hotel(s).
  • Regular discussions with the wider team to assess workload and plan activities accordingly.
  • Enforce policies and procedures to improve overall operations and effectiveness.
  • Ensure proposals and contracts presented negotiated with customers are checked/validated.
  • Support accurate communication of sales promotions and information to relevant people.
  • Coordinate administrative work in terms of reporting of figures and SIP audit and appeals.
  • Understanding of Hilton Worldwide Sales terminology, Salesforce terminology and of the process flow of an opportunity.
  • Additional supportive activities may include:
  • Comply with all policies, systems and procedures as laid down by the HWS line manager.
  • Taking on other tasks in addition of the ones stated, in a reasonable framework.
  • Additional supportive functions as appropriate.
  • Participating in industry events and representing Hilton Worldwide at trade fairs and workshops, agreed by the line manager.
  • Updating manuals department-related documents.
  • Contributing to the development and performance of the team.
  • Supporting training for new team members - if applicable.
  • As the Executive Sales Enablement intern, you will be working with the Sales Enablement Centre of Excellence Team in supporting the managed hotel commercial teams in driving Commercial performance and supporting their personal development across EMEA.
  • You will be ensuring clear communication plans are actioned to deadline and key distribution lists and platforms are up to date with accurate and relevant assets.
  • You will be integral in ensuring that communication tools are creative, engaging and meet deadlines.
  • You will also be managing some key sales support projects through the year and will also have the opportunity to support the team in delivering national and potentially international events to deliver messages, initiatives and training to the hotel commercial teams.
  • Supports the management of internal platforms and communication outlets and lists.
  • Develop, support and deliver assets and tools to enable property Sales and GM&E Team members optimize their performance and development.
  • Supports customer engagement opportunities, how hotels deliver and position their hotels with internal partners such as HWS and external customers such as Proposal formats.
  • Supports performance analysis and reporting for regional and hotel level commercial teams: must have strong excel skills (pivot tables, importing data, creating formulas, formatting).
  • Coordinates and may conduct mystery shopper enquiries to monitor enquiry handling performance.
  • Supports the creation and distribution of original content: video editing, advanced PowerPoint skills (designs, tables, charts), follows social media trends and platform capabilities.
  • Maintains content of internal intranet (The Lobby) for the Centre of Excellence Sales Operations Team, supporting the delivery of relevant and engaging assets.
  • Maintains a calendar of activities of communication and activation for EMEA Sales and GM&E initiatives.
  • Maintains, manages and activates the use of key Distribution lists.
  • Liaises with key partners across other functions such as BPS, Training, Marketing, Regional Commercial Support and Sales Leaders and ensuring projects are aligned and relevant.
