Do we support remote work?
No, this is a fully onsite position located in Cambridge, MA.
What are the eligibility requirements for the internship?
You must be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2025 or later and authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship.
How long will the internship last?
The internship program is 10-12 weeks, depending on the chosen start dates: June 2nd - August 22nd or June 16th - August 29th.
What is the hourly wage range for this internship?
The U.S. hourly wage range is $21.00 - $46.00, depending on the candidate's school year/level.
Are there any additional benefits for interns?
Yes, U.S. internship benefits may include paid sick time, civic duty paid time off, participation in company volunteer events, access to on-site fitness facilities, and a monthly commuter benefit.
Is there any housing or relocation support provided?
No, Takeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.S. Summer Internship Program.
What type of skills will interns develop during the internship?
Interns will gain hands-on experience in vaccine formulation and manufacturing process development, analytical skills, technical writing, cGMP documentation maintenance, and communication skills.
Will there be mentorship provided during the internship?
Yes, there is a dedicated mentorship program pairing interns with experienced professionals.
What kind of projects will interns work on?
Interns will assist in planning and executing vaccine formulation and Drug Product manufacturing process development, contributing to critical projects that impact public health.
What qualifications are required for applicants?
Applicants must be pursuing a Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Bio/Chemical Engineering, or a related field, possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and have excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Familiarity with biophysical and biochemical techniques is a plus.
