  • Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in the UK in any discipline
  • Be a current first-year student on a three-year degree, or second-year student on a four-year degree
  • Self-identify as a woman
  • Have a demonstrated passion for and interest in learning about capital markets and finance
  • Be able to attend regular mentor meetings and programme workshops for the duration of the 4-month programme
  • Be available to take part in a Spring Week during April 2025

Responsibilities

  • Explore, develop, and ignite your passion for the world of Finance.
  • The development programme will run from the beginning of January 2025 to the end of April 2025. During the programme, participants will be assigned a mentor, have access to targeted workshops to help participants prepare for a career in finance, and have the opportunity to participate in candid discussions about what it means to be a woman in finance.
  • Participants will also have regular 1-1 sessions with their mentors and Scotiabank career advisors.
  • The UpLIFTED: Women in Finance Development Programme also comprises a mini Spring Week during April 2025 where participants will have the opportunity to work shadow, take part in interactive workshops, skills sessions, and expand your network within Global Banking & Markets.
