What is the duration of the Apprentice Healthcare Support Worker program?
The program has a duration of 18 months as a fixed-term contract.
What are the age requirements for applicants?
Applicants must be aged 18 or over on the date of starting the apprenticeship.

Yes, applicants must have lived in the UK for 3 years prior to enrolment.
Can applicants hold a degree in a health-related subject?
No, applicants MUST NOT hold a degree, level four qualification or above in a health-related subject.
Is significant healthcare experience allowed for applicants?
No, applicants must not have significant healthcare experience.
What qualifications must candidates present at the interview?
Candidates must hold English and Maths GCSE at grades 9 – 1 / A* - G or equivalent and present valid certificates at the interview.
When are the planned start dates for the cohorts?
The cohorts are planned to start in September and November 2025.
What is the selection event date?
The selection event will take place on Saturday, 7th June 2025.
Can applicants specify a preference for the hospital they want to work at?
Yes, if you have a particular preference, you should notify us at the interview.
What skills are required for this position?
Candidates must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
