Description

  • Are you a creative, passionate, and results-driven graduate student interested in healthcare and caregiving? The AARP New Orleans Team is looking for you! In collaboration with area hospitals, our Caregiving and Health Team is leading a demonstration program to inform our educational programming and its impact on families and healthcare providers. The intern will collect and analyze data through various measures and report on trends and outcomes. AARP is committed to your growth and cultivating your continued learning and development. This paid internship has an anticipated start date of Summer 2024 and will continue through the Fall. 

Requirements

  • Graduate student required; preference to students enrolled in a Master of Public Health program at an accredited college/university and remain academically enrolled throughout the internship
  • Must be a self-starter and adaptable, with the ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Ability to manage projects, anticipate project needs, and discern work priorities
  • Ability to work well with diverse populations, including gender, race, and sexual orientation
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and data collection tools
  • Exceptional verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to design research to collect data
  • AARP will not sponsor an employment visa for this position at this time.

  • Attend workshops
