Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Engineering Program, pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree, in biomedical/bioengineering, mechanical, systems engineering or equivalent.
  • Showcase a proven track record of effectively and clearly communicating concepts, ideas, and knowledge to other engineers and teams
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Have experience in developing pre-clinical engineering studies
  • Have experience constructing customer and engineering design requirements
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and a strong understanding of anatomy

Responsibilities

  • Use clinical and technical skills to collaborate with a cross-functional team to discover, define and develop a new product
  • Research relevant disease states, treatment options, patient pathways, surgical techniques, and competitive technologies
  • Discover unmet clinical needs, establish customer requirements and provide clinical input to engineering design requirements
  • Develop test models and test methods for clinically relevant product evaluations
  • Collaborate with physicians and key clinical users on procedure development and understanding product feedback
  • Create and document new product clinical use workflows, assess clinical hazards, and propose potential mitigations
