What is the location of the CNN Documentary internships?
The internships will be located in the NYC area.
What specific roles will interns assist with during the internship?
Interns will assist with pitching story ideas, setting up shoots, gathering editorial and video materials, the scriptwriting process through editing, and basic administrative and production tasks.
What is the duration of the internship program?
The duration of the program is 10 weeks.
What are the start and end dates for the internship?
The internship starts on October 7th and ends on December 13th.
How many hours per week are interns expected to work?
Interns are expected to work 16-24 hours per week.
Is the internship paid, and is credit required?
Yes, the internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required, but necessary documentation can be provided for school credit if desired.
Who is eligible to apply for the internship?
Applicants must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program, must be a rising Junior or Senior, and must be in academic good standing (3.0 GPA or above). Additionally, candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. and cannot require work visa sponsorship.
When will interviews take place?
Interviews will take place from July through late August.
Will there be individual status updates on applications?
Due to the high volume of applications, individual status updates will not be provided.
