Requirements

  • Enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial or Civil Engineering.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0

Responsibilities

  • Learn Configuration Management (CM) policies and procedures and participate at internal CM meetings by sharing working knowledge.
  • Analyze the Nature, Reason, and Substantiation of minor Engineering Changes and provide guidance to requestors.
  • Perform Minor Engineering changes reviews to verify compliance with standard procedures.
  • Work closely with our key customers: Design Integration, IPTs, CIPTs and the Engine Center to support the activities of the Configuration Control Boards (CCB) and the engineering change process with supervision. Support the initiatives of the department using the CORE operating system.
  • Be an active participant and data provider to process improvement efforts to increase CM efficiency and reduce CM turn-time.
  • English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English
