Requirements

  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar careers from an accredited institution with graduation no later than August 2026
  • Minimum of one internship or co-op experience or an equivalent of 3 months work experience completed at the time of this application
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher (please don't round).
  • Relocation is not provided for this role, the candidate must be located within 50 miles of Moon Township, PA or Peachtree City, PA
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Electronic or Electromechanical Engineering, computer science or similar careers.
  • 2+ years experience in similar positions.
  • Computer knowledge: MS Office, Familiarity with PADS, Altium and CAD tools
  • Skills:
  • Coordinate project activities with other engineering units to facilitate on time project completion.
  • Experience working in a global business environment and with remote teams
  • Knowledge using ERP systems
  • Voice of the Customer (VOC) experience
  • CAD/SolidWorks/CREO solid modeling experience and the ability to develop detailed 2D drawings with tolerance controls plus management of engineering documents via Engineering Change Order process
  • Experience performing various engineering tests and analyzing results
  • Contribute to team-driven product development projects with high level of personal accountability, and excellent communication skills
  • Adherence to Zero Incident Safety culture and processes

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to firmware and software developments for embedded systems/micro-controllers
  • Support software development using code repositories, code reviews, build servers, and agile methods.
  • Stay abreast of market trends and emerging technologies globally, with a particular emphasis on embedded and connected systems, and evaluate their potential impact on Eaton business
  • Support the Research and develop business case(s) in new product development cycle to understand viability of proposed products in the marketplace
  • Support the enhancement of existing products and services based on evaluations of existing and new technologies per Eaton’s strategic plans
  • Follow Eaton’s interests on councils and committees tasked with developing codes and standards for emerging technologies in which Eaton is investing.
  • Support and perform technical evaluations of third party solutions and assess opportunities to develop partnerships or and new suppliers
  • Support product certification activities - UL/CSA
