  • What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
  • Undergraduate students in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Business Administration, Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Aviation management, or similar in a 4-year degree program (Note: this role is not intended for a student pursuing a professional pilot career)
  • Must be available for three (3) alternating semesters
  • Must be able to present themselves professionally and effectively communicate with various levels of leadership
  • Strong organizational, project management, and verbal/written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in basic data analytics
  • Willingness/ability to learn new skills

  • Experience working with the Smartsheet platform, including design, development, and maintenance of Smartsheet automation and design
  • Ability to digest large amounts of data and information and succinctly explain where a candidate or groups of candidates may fall in a process.
  • Comfortable working in group and individual settings
  • Track record of seeking leadership roles including student and community organizations
  • Ability to develop effective presentations that help explain the background, analysis, results, and recommendations to leaders in an efficient and effective manner
  • Desire to learn more about the airline industry and interest in Delta as a company

Responsibilities

  • Commit to a 3-semester structured rotation with the same team, fostering continuity and deep collaboration throughput the co-op experience.
  • Assist in creating data-driven reports and presentations to share findings, progress, and recommendations with stakeholders and leaders.
  • Develop and help manage candidate tracking efforts, including progress and budgets
  • Engage in data validation, quality assurance, and documentation efforts to ensure precise and consistent analytical outcomes.
  • Co-Ops will have exposure to other departments within Flight Operations, including but not limited to: Flight Training & Standards, Flying Operations, Line Operations, Crew Resources & Scheduling, Pilot Hiring & Development, and Simulator Support to learn about the industry and gain valuable life experience.
