Requirements

  • Undergraduate students in pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Aviation Management or similar 4-year degree program
  • Must be available to work for three alternating semesters in Atlanta, GA, Monday through Friday 8AM – 5PM work schedule
  • Must be enrolled with educational institution throughout duration of co-op program
  • Willingness/ability to learn new skills is required - be willing try new things and fail, learn from each experience and improve
  • Willingness to brainstorm with and leverage expertise of other team members, maintaining a team-first attitude with success of your team as top priority
  • Strong organizational, project management, and verbal/written communication skills are essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel & PowerPoint
  • Must be comfortable working in group and individual settings
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
  • WHAT WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE (PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS):
  • Successful candidates will have familiarity and/or experience with some of the following: SQL, SAS, Python, R, Tableau, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarly with airline operations, scheduling and planning
  • Track record of seeking leadership roles including student and community organizations
  • Passionate about a future career in the aviation industry and serving Delta’s customers

Responsibilities

  • A Co-Op will be assigned to one of the following teams:
  • Flight Control – Certified Flight Dispatcher group responsible for pre-flight planning, monitoring flights in route and acting as crew members on the ground to ensure the highest levels of safety in commercial flight operations.
  • Customer Experience / Operations Planning – Strategic team that works to anticipate constraints, develop collaborative solutions, and foster effective communication which supports the successful execution of Delta’s operational reliability commitment to our customers.
