What is the role of the Process Engineering Co-op?
The Process Engineering Co-op will support the Nitrogen Real-time Operations Center and contribute to the development and sustainability of Ammonia plant digital twins, along with other advanced monitoring and predictive technologies.
What qualifications are required for this position?
Candidates must be currently enrolled and have completed at least 2 years of an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering or an equivalent field.
Is experience with Nitrogen fertilizer processes required?
Experience with Nitrogen fertilizer processes, including Ammonia, Urea, and Nitric Acid, is preferred but not required.
What skills are essential for this role?
Essential skills include proficiency in chemical process simulation software, Microsoft Excel (including macros), strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
What type of technologies will the Co-op work with?
The Co-op will work with advanced monitoring, predictive technologies, and process simulation software such as UniSim Design or Aspen HYSYS.
Where is the location of the job?
This position is based at Nutrien’s Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta site.
