  • S&P Global Commodity Insights is seeking summer interns to work directly with one or more price reporting and strategic engagement teams across oil, natural gas, power, chemicals, shipping, metals, LNG, agriculture, and/or energy transition markets. The intern will learn how we generate the content that powers Platts’ price assessments and news produced for the markets that we cover. The intern will learn about market reporting and price formation processes in addition to generating news coverage, performing research, and working on special projects.

  • Receive hands-on research and reporting experience 
  • Conduct research and writing assignments for potential publication 


  • Students graduating in Fall 2024 or Spring 2025 are preferred; Master's students also considered
  • Journalism majors are preferred but all majors are welcome
  • Strong communication skills (good verbal skills, listening techniques, and a clear, concise writing style)
  • Problem-solving, time-management, attention to detail & strong organizational skills
  • Intellectually curious, and the ability to learn quickly and produce high-quality results
  • Some knowledge of social media and web technologies (e.g. HTML)
  • Significant comfort level with suite of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
