Requirements

  • Enrolled in college or university program as a junior, senior, or graduate student.
  • Sports Administration, Community Engagement, or other related business majors preferred.
  • Coaching skills preferred.
  • Experience in special events planning.
  • Experience and knowledge of social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram).
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Experience with Salesforce preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and perform detail-oriented work.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to speak in front of small or large groups, including children and adults).
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with general office duties and assistance to the Community Engagement staff:
  • Complete data entry for all merchandise donation requests, including appropriate letters and items.
  • Assist with Pacers Pals and Fever Friends ticket program.
  • Assist with event preparation (i.e. good bags, bean bags, books, etc.)
  • Lead Community Engagement events (i.e. Reaching TimeOuts) as required.
  • Responsible for High Five Club at all Pacers and/or Fever home games.
  • Responsible for all Community Engagement mail (data entry, distribution, etc.)
  • Assist with storage organization.
  • Research other Community Engagement programs and initiatives.
  • Assist with Jr. Hoops Tour program including registration, data entry, participant follow-up, etc.
  • Participate and instruct in basketball camps and clinics as requested.
  • Attend Fever player appearances as requested.
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of select community engagement programs.
  • Report on and research information pertaining to Community Engagement programming.
  • Attend Community Engagement and other staff meetings as required.
  • Provide input and suggestions at all Community Engagement staff meetings.
  • Assist other departments as requested.
  • Work Pacers and Fever games as requested.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
