Description

  • Are you a creative, passionate, and results-driven student interested in communications, graphic design, and art? The Employee Communications Team is looking for you! Our team is the internal voice for news, tools, insights, and connections that help employees and other key audiences understand and fulfill AARP's mission. We bring the organization and mission to life in a way that inspires and engages leaders, staff, and other key audiences. We'll challenge you to develop creative and innovative approaches to our special projects. This paid internship has an anticipated start date of Summer 2024, with the possibility of extending additional semesters.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college pursuing a degree in graphic arts, communications, marketing, journalism, or other related fields
  • Must be a self-starter and adaptable, with the ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, anticipate project needs, and discern work priorities
  • Ability to work well with diverse populations, including gender, race, and sexual orientation
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Familiarity with multiple social media platforms is a plus
  • AARP will not sponsor an employment visa for this position at this time.

  • Independent judgement in evaluation options to make sound decisions
