Requirements

  • Undergraduate (junior or senior) or community college student in good academic standing
  • A minimum of 2.8 GPA
  • Live in or attend college in Los Angeles County
  • Knowledge of and interest in film history, domestic and/ or international
  • Data entry and file management
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Interest in and/or experience with cataloging/ data entry
  • Familiarity with spreadsheets/ Airtable
  • Ability to learn new software
  • Problem solving, multitasking, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Production Specialist and Director of OHP in oral history production planning and logistics.
  • Assist in day-of-shoot logistics, coordination (runner) and notetaking
  • Interviewee research and production of reference materials for OHP staff.
  • Using VH Program materials, locate relevant interview segments for inclusion in Museum exhibits, programming, and social media.
  • Assist department staff with tasks related to transcription, file naming, and organization.
  • Writing interview summaries, abstracts and bios, and collection profiles.
  • Other duties as assigned
