Requirements

  • Pursuant or completed Bachelor’s degree in visual communications or graphic design
  • Strong portfolio showing a range of skills
  • An interest and understanding of brand standards and style guidelines
  • Ability to communicate concepts and ideas to others
  • Ability to quickly produce high-quality concept sketches and mockups
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Miro, and Office 365 tools
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with the design team, vendors, and other partners in the industry
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate design concepts and ideas to the design team
  • Strong listening skills
  • Ability to excel under pressure
  • Attention to detail and a critical eye for design quality and consistency
  • Strong follow-up and follow through

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other team members, including designers, production, project managers, and marketing professionals to ensure design projects meet clients’ expectations
  • Support in conducting market research, gathering inspiration from competitors, and presenting research findings to the design team
  • Work with the design team to develop visual concepts for branding, campaigns, promotional and product collateral and other marketing materials
  • Assist with the production of print and digital design materials, including layouts, typography, and image manipulation utilizing the full Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Edit InDesign and PowerPoint presentation templates to incorporate feedback from stakeholders or clients
  • Assisting with administrative tasks such as filing, archiving, and organizing design files
  • Willingness to learn new software and tools specifically relevant to the retail design industry.
