  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Psychology, Sociology, Law, Criminology, International Relations, Homeland Security or a closely related field.
  • This internship is from January 2025 through June 2025.

  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney Internship or Program.

Responsibilities

  • Investigative Support: Assist in investigations regarding violations of International Maritime laws, the Cruise Vessel Security and Safety Act (CVSSA), and workplace safety protocols.
  • Threat Assessment and Mitigation: Learn the steps in conducting threat assessments and contribute to the development of effective threat mitigation strategies.
  • Cross-Unit Collaboration: Work alongside various business units within and outside Disney Cruise Line Security to create comprehensive protocols, response strategies, and investigative plans for workplace safety and security incidents.
  • Proactive Incident Management: Collaborate with business units to establish proactive measures for incident reporting and prevent security breaches.
  • Interagency Collaboration: Partner with maritime security investigation teams, and local, federal, and international law enforcement to facilitate investigations and promote preventative initiatives.
  • Investigation Assistance: Under direct supervision, collaborate with investigators on complex cases, conduct interviews, and analyze data to detailed investigations.
  • Research and Reporting: Conduct investigative research on physical security systems (CCTV, alarms, access control), preserve evidence, and produce comprehensive written reports.
  • Documentation and Organization: Compile detailed professional reports and maintain accurate and organized incident case files.
  • Process Improvement Initiatives: Collaborate with investigators on security enhancements and process improvements.
  • Executive Interface: Collaborate with senior team members to engage with executives on security and investigative matters, as necessary.
