Responsibilities

  • Applies standard engineering techniques to design, install, modify, analyze, repair and test tools, engines, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment.
  • Development, release, and support of engineering artifacts across the development cycle to support hardware fabrication, assembly, verification, test and operations.
  • Implements operating procedures, resolves system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
  • Researches and analyzes customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
  • Specifies system components or directs modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
  • Investigates equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to maintenance crew.
  • Based upon your desired career path, your projects may include many aspects of applied mechanical / structural engineering including design, analysis and test of mechanical systems, propulsion systems, and structures.
  • The projects will include the integration of materials and processes, manufacturing, test, operations, and systems engineering.
