Responsibilities

  • Works with the guidance from senior engineers to perform a variety of assignments requiring the application of standard engineering and design techniques.
  • Work with multi-discipline project teams to develop drawing and specification documents for issuance to architects, contractors and building owners.
  • Support a variety of engineering tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
  • Learn basic principles of Electrical Engineering.
  • Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
  • Design of electric distribution systems.
  • Design of lighting and lighting control systems.
  • Scheduling and selecting of electrical components and equipment.
  • Perform electrical load, short circuit and voltage drop calculations.
  • Construction administration.
  • Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
  • Complete training on assigned tasks.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
